PUP01 - Male Pied Agouti, 7 weeks Ivan II owned by Sarah Skutt, River City Gerbils This pup has a lot going for him. rich agouti coloring, beautiful wide clean color, nice eye, good tuft. Size is appropriate for age. The face appears slightly long in side view, but that well could be a combination of camera angle and the white jaw face markings. He looks confident and animated. I think he will grow up to be a stunning. |

PUP04 - Male Self Nutmeg, 11.5 weeks GDG Corduroy owned by Jamie Thurlow, Gerbera Daisy Gerbils What a beautiful pup! He has fully molted from his orange baby coat into his adult coat with beautiful strong, even ticking. He has the desired darker mask and the feet coloring is strong without stray white hairs. I wish the side view was at a better angle, difficult to see the topline and the strong rear we look for; from what can be seen it is all good. Tail is not in focus but appears straight with a good tuft and rich gold coloring. |

PUP06 - Female Black, 5.5 weeks DC’s Midnight owned by Jennifer Bell She is appropriate size for age. Jet black without stray white on coat or paws (some on chin). The coat is so long and thick, beautiful. Hard to judge the eye shape, but looks good in front view, maybe a bit rounded in side view. Note: In a live show the minimum pup age is 6 weeks. We made allowance since the animals didn't need to travel. |

PUP07 - Male Nutmeg, 5.5 week DC’s Spicy Boy owned by Jennifer Bell This pup has a gorgeous thick coat - he almost looks long haired (love the petticoat), and has a tuft to die for. He has a beautiful shaped almond eye. His size is very good and he has a solid strong body type, but the topline is not straight. Cannot judge ticking yes, since he is too young for his first molt. Appears to have no white on paws and chin. Well on his way to becoming a "wow" gerbil. Note: In a live show the minimum pup age is 6 weeks. We made allowance since the animals didn't need to travel. |
2nd Place Sunni, owned by Saffron Jones This male has preserved both his shape and his color beautifully. He still has a remarkably straight tail as well, quite a feat for a senior. Good head breadth and deep jowl, perhaps a bit long. His fur is separated somewhat; a sand bath might have smoothed it out. Eye is a bit round, a more common problem with ruby eyes. A very handsome and elegant older gentleman! |
1st Place Mowgli, owned by Erin O'Reilly Wow, he is a quite a looker for a fellow his age! Still retained his male bulk and tail looks nice and straight. His coat is still rich and though his feet may have lightened, he has very little stray white in his coat. A few molt lines here and there. Excellent male aging very gracefully! |
3rd Place Gerbil Collective's Misty, owned by Cathy Bickel, Gerbil Collective She has put on a little weight with age, as is common for females, but it is not excessive. She appears to have retained nice ticking on her coat and her points are still fairly dark. Would be nice to see more of her feet but she did let them peek out for me. Nice eye shape and a good straight tail, if a bit short - that may just be because she posed so stretched out. |
BOS MS Violet, owned by Cathy Bickel, Gerbil Collective I love the shading on this girl's face, although her points are probably a bit lighter than they were in her prime. She has put on some weight but not an unreasonable amount. Still has a lovely straight tail. A bit hard to judge her eye shape. She is still a lovely lady. |
