Glitzee, owned by Donna Anastasi of ABC Gerbils, Portland, Maine, Colorpoint Nutmeg, male, 8 months, standard coat

2025_046 Nice masculine body type, hefty without being fat. Head is a bit long, eye on the rounder side of almond. Good ear placement. Thick, straight tail with good tuft. His coloring is really stellar. Bold cinnamon ticking shading down the sides and nice deep point coloring. I would like to see his feet a little darker, though. Some white on the lips, but only the tiniest bit on the paws. Coat is soft and clean. Only a few minor molt lines. First place.

Vivian, owned by Donna Anastasi of ABC Gerbils, Portland, Maine, Siamese, female, 14 months, standard coat

2025_044 A larger female; body type tending towards masculine, should have less bulk under the neck and through the chest. Short, broad head with almond eye and correct ear placement. Tail is thick but short; it looks like there might be a small kink or knot at mid-tail? Nice tuft. Great beige body color with chocolate mask and ears. Hindpaw points are good; forepaws should be darker, a common fault. Nice near-black tail, but there are many stray white hairs. Forepaws also appear to have a good deal of white. Coat is soft and clean, but there seems to be some fur loss on the nose, and a large molt line across the hindquarters. Secpnd place.

2025_053 Small, immature female; still has lanky teen proportions. No good view of topline. Head seems a bit narrow, with upright, high-set ears. Tail looks long, but is thick and straight, with a moderate paintbrush tuft. Nice silvery-beige body color, though shading seems uneven. Great depth of color on the points, including front paws! Some white on the lips and possibly chin, but zero on the paws, very nice. Coat is soft and clean. Third place.

Ursa, shown by Shanna Nelson of Khulan Gerbils, Pacific, Missouri, LCP Agouti, female, 14 months, standard coat
2025_006 Slim female with a neck dip and pronounced arched topline. Very nice head shape with almond eye, but ears a bit too upright. Thick, straight tail with good tuft. Though entered as LCP Agouti, this is a CP Agouti. Topcoat does have cinnamon tones, but overall tends a bit more towards gray than I’d like. Demarcation line is quite good; that often gets muddled on CPA. Points are lacking depth: the tail should be gold along the full length, not just the last half, and her ear points are not readily apparent. Fur looks a bit separated, with multiple molt lines. Sweet expression.

Sepia, owned by Laura Goly of Angel's Burrow Gerbils, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Siamese, female, 8 months, standard coat
2025_062 This is an odd gerbil overall. Her stocky body and short tail make her look strangely pup-like, despite being well beyond that stage. Short, broad head; ears a bit too upright. Eye is well-shaped, but seems small? Pretty whisker fan. Tail is thick and straight with a super tuft, but is significantly shorter than it should be. Her color is again odd. The body color is a rather dark, cool beige, with muted, low-contrast points. I suspect this may actually be a Dilute Burmese, but Siamese is still the closest standard. She does at least have comparatively dark forepaw points. Some white on lips, but none on paws. Coat is soft and clean, with no visible molt lines.
