2024 Colorpoint Class

BACK to Self

Other is NEXT

Sapphire, Burmese male, 1 year, standard coat, shown by Melly Sanders in Colorado
2024_002 Very large male with good coat color, hard to tell feet color but nails look to match feet and tail. However, his size makes the tail look shorter and eyes look rounded instead of the preferable almond shape. Love the bushy whiskers and interested expression.

Ursa, CP Agouti female, 3.5 months, standard coat, shown by Shanna Nelson of Khulan Gerbils in Pacific, Missouri
Picture

2024_007 Nicely posed gerbil, appears interested in surroundings and happy. There is a line of demarcation between top and belly, some color points are noticeable. She has a good frame without being overweight or underweight, her eyes, ears and nails conform to standard and she has a nice display of bushy whiskers. However, the gold fur color of the tail is not present and her fur color is tending to gray which is a fault. Second place.

Guapo, CP nutmeg male, 14 months, standard coat, shown by Shanna Nelson of Khulan Gerbils in Pacific, Missouri
2024_012 This male has the cinnamon ticking dispersed throughout the back of the body and a side view shows nice ears, appropriate eye shape, correct nail color and a contrast point on the nose. However, the gerbil has a bent tail and a shoulder dip (maybe needs more mealies?) as seen in the two side photos. There is an excess of debris in the backdrop and there are molt lines.

ABC's Apollo, Siamese male, adult, standard coat, shown by Donna Anastasi of ABC Gerbils in Portland, Maine
Picture

2024_018 He has the bulky build expected in a male without being overly large, his eyes are the preferable almond shape, and his ears are up and match the point color. Points (ears, tail, nose and feet) match and are a rich chocolate brown. Would like to see the feet slightly darker, but they are very close. Good nails that match the points as well. His fur is a pleasing beige with no dirt or oily patches and he has a nice set of whiskers to frame the ace, A very clean and well-prepared gerbils. First place.

Jasmine, Siamese female, adult, standard coat, shown by Pamela Thompson of I Love My Gerbil in Yorkville, Illinois
Picture

2024_020 Pretty little Siamese with excellent tail and ear color. Fur color is the light beige with a silvery tint, but feet do not have discernable color and thus look to fade in with the rest of the body; also would like to see more color on the nose. That said, her posing is of a confident gerbil and in side view she has a nice top line and whiskers, however, her eyes are a bit too round instead of almond-shaped. Third place.

ABC's Glitz, Colorpoint Nutmeg female, adult, standard coat, shown by Donna Anastasi of ABC Gerbils in Portland, Maine
Picture

2024_070 Gerbil is well posed for photos, showing off the nice tuft on her tail and her color points, especially on the ears and nose. The fur has the heavy, even cinnamon ticking with fading, and there is light fur around the eyes. Nails are the correct color, although would like to see darker feet. Good top line, not too big, would not like to see her larger than this. Best Opposite Sex.
